Our Church

Read and watch below to learn more about who we are at CFT and our church history.

What kind of church are we?

We are a non-denominational church that holds to the Bible. We believe the Bible is our absolute, so we do what the Lord told us to do: Preach the good news, the Message of the Hour, that Jesus Christ is calling out to His church, and that He is alive and well to those who need to hear the grace, mercy, and goodness of God.

We look for what God is doing today and we follow Him.

Matthew 28:18-20, "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Our Vision

We exist to lift up the name of Jesus Christ and to preach the Word of God. Our objective is to maintain an atmosphere and environment where the Holy Spirit is able to make His Word come alive in the assembly, individuals, and in families.

2 Peter 1:2, "Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth."

OUR COMMUNITY

We strive to live for each other and our community, both within the church and without. The backbone of this belief is being established in the Present Truth and the Word of God.

In every community, there are people that don't know Christ, they are hurting, dealing with all kinds of things, and their are  individuals with hungry hearts for the Truth. CFT exists to proclaim the Truth of the gospel to those who would believe.

Psalm 96:3, "Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people."

Beginnings

In 1962, a fiery coal miner and World War II veteran, Reverand Earnest Fulcher was led of God to found CFT in Christiansburg, VA.

With humble beginnings and little training, he and his wife, Marvareen Fulcher served faithfully for 6o years diving deep into the Word of God, and creating a church of people dedicated to serving God faithfully and staying true to His Word.

The Church Today

As of 2020, Steve Coffey and his wife Sarah, serve in the church as pastor to provide an atmosphere and environment where the Lord is pleased to dwell and lives can be changed.

Their mission remains to lift up the name of Jesus Christ and allow others to experience His life-changing power.

What We Believe

Understanding what a church believes is crucial in today’s world, especially when considering the vision to which you and your family are committing. At CFT, we believe in the teachings of the Bible as the foremost authority and acknowledge it as the written Word of God. We believe that God is doing amazing things in our time, and we seek to know Him in the power of His resurrection and to experience His life within us. There is a Message that God has given His church in these last days. Our goal is to hear, live, and proclaim that Message of the Hour. For more about our beliefs, click the link below.
